The
Automobile Club of Monaco is known for two great races that
are the Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo and the Formula 1 Grand
Prix of Monaco.
In 1974, the Principality celebrated H.S.H The Prince of Monaco
25th anniversary of reign
and the Automobile Club participated to the event by creating the "Rallye
Monte-Carlo of Old Cars".
In 1997 was born the Historic Grand Prix of Monaco to celebrate
700 years of the Grimaldi family. This one come back in
2000 for the end of the XXth Century and will be
programmed every 2 years.
Finally, in 1998, sixty teams participate for the first edition
of the Historic Rallye Monte-Carlo (they will be
350 in 2005).
In 1995, the 1st Monaco Kart Cup received the champions on the
harbour of Monaco and become fastly an international reference.
In parallel, the ACM continue to grow. The restaurant reserved
to members has been reorganised in summer 2001,
the Shop of the Automobile Club proposes products from the Club.
